The CareGo® system connects individuals with health conditions with their care network using innovative software and touch-enabled computers. The client uses a 20 inch touch-enabled desktop called a POCA (Point of Care Appliance). The POCA shows a daily calendar with appointments and reminders for medications, measurements, and treatments. The client uses POCA to communicate by two way video, phone, email, and notes and to collect health measurements using wireless devices.
Your family member will have a 20 inch touch screen computer in their home so they don’t have to use a keyboard and mouse if they have no computer experience. You will have the CareGo® system running on your desktop, laptop, or tablet with Windows 7 or 8 so you can log on when it is convenient for you. You can also use your Windows mobile phone. The CareGo® system lets you see which daily activities have been completed and which were missed. You can remotely add or change calendar appointments, medications, and treatments and see how critical health measurements like weight and blood pressure look over time.
Family and caregivers share the client’s CareGo® system with software on their Windows 7 or 8 desktop, laptop, or tablet. They can add and edit calendar appointments, medications, treatments, and measurements remotely and can see whether any activity has been completed or missed. The daily calendar can be seen on a Windows mobile phone and alerts received for important activities.
The administrative web interface for healthcare providers displays the current status of scheduled activities and health measurements for all clients. Medications, health measurements, and treatments are managed from the interface as well as calendar appointments, notes, and email.
